Solution-Dyed Acrylic Fabrics
Outdura exclusively uses solution-dyed premium acrylic for its casual furniture fabrics. Solution-dyed means that the pigment is already added to the yarn during the manufacturing process. Acrylic yarn is resistant to UV without having to add any additional substances, making your fabrics last for many years.

Solution-Dyed Acrylic Fabrics (SDA)

The quality of the fiber used to make a fabric is crucial in terms of fading resistance. Our fabrics are made from 100% solution-dyed branded acrylic.

This means that the color pigments go all the way into the fiber (similar to the carrot shown on the right), not just on the surface of the fiber (like you see with cucumber). This gives the fabrics a superior color fastness and makes the colors shine for a longer period of time.

Do you have fabrics available by the yard? Yes, our Ovation II fabrics are all available in both full roll and cut yardage. (minimum cut yardage order – 1 yard)

CLEANING

What is the correct way to clean my fabrics? Care and cleaning guidelines can be downloaded in the download section of this page.
How often should I clean my outdoor furniture or umbrellas? It is recommended to clean your outdoor shade production each spring season.
What happens if I power wash my umbrellas and awnings? We do not recommend power washing of any of our fabrics. This can damage the fabric, and is not covered under our warranty. Please follow our cleaning and care instructions for best results.
